Which instantly makes this potentially my favorite super telephoto lens of all time. With this teleconverter, you essentially get two lenses in one. At the flick of a switch, you can transform it into a 560mm f/4 optic, providing extra reach for wildlife photography or distant sports subjects. The switch is designed to be easily reachable by the pinky finger of your right hand while shooting, and it can be locked in place. The process of switching back and forth between 400mm and 560mm is quite addictive, with a satisfying clunking sound. Overall, the design is simple and perfect.
